I couldn’t wait for this book to come out but at the same time was a little apprehensive because I ‎wasn’t sure how well Kyle Mills would do writing a Mitch Rapp novel. Now after having read it I can say ‎I was very pleasantly surprised. There were a few very subtle differences in the writing style but for ‎the most part you would never know this was written by someone other than Vince Flynn. ‎Mitch is still Mitch!‎ ‎

New Book!

Today is turning into a red letter day. Getting to stream the new Josh Ritter album and then receiving ‎my copy of The Survivor the new Mitch Rapp novel. But wait, there’s more! The husband has a gig and ‎the kiddo will be staying the night with his grandparents. I will have the house all to myself for most of ‎the night. I won’t have to do anything for anyone else; I can just curl up on the couch with my book ‎and get lost in the story. Not bad for a Thursday. ‎

I’ve been a fan of Josh Ritter for years; a friend of mine introduced me to him by making me ‎listen to his song Kathleen and I’m so glad she did. The opening line of that song is still my ‎favorite line of all time – All the other girls here are stars, you are the northern lights. How can ‎you not swoon at a line like that??? ‎ He is a phenomenal lyricist, truly a musical poet. I don’t care how many times I listen to his songs ‎I’m always grabbed by a new verse and sometimes just say WOW. Give him a listen if you ‎haven’t before, you will not be disappointed. ‎

Please bear with me as I get this up and running. ‎ I have no idea where this will take me, but I am hopeful this will be the beginning of an adventure. I ‎used to be a very creative writer when I was younger and somehow I think life got in the way and I ‎stopped trying. I’m not sure how good I will be now, but just the thought of making my own little ‎space to get my thoughts written and out of my head makes me smile. And that’s a good start! ‎
