Review: The Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden The Butterfly Garden by Dot Hutchison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I picked this as my Kindle First Pick for May because it looked intriguing; I was not wrong.
It is a suspense, thriller, and horror novel all in one. I’m having a hard time putting into words how I feel about this book, it was disturbing but I couldn’t put it down.
The story is told from the two point of views, it switches between the victim and the FBI agent interrogating her. Even though you know she survives you are still drawn in to the story to find out exactly what happened. There is a lot of back story that some people may find a little superfluous, but I think truly did add to the story.
This is one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time.

Review: A Court of Mist and Fury

A Court of Mist and Fury A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I picked up the first book in this series last Sunday and finished it on Monday. Hopped onto amazon and ordered this one so that I could have it by Wednesday. Took me a little longer to read this one as I didn't have as much free time....but I devoured it when I could. I hated having to put it down.
Now I'm just sad that I will have to wait a while for the next one to come out.

I'm very much enjoying how much growth the main character is experiencing, even though at times I did want to reach through the pages to slap her. But she comes around.

Review: A Court of Thorns and Roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cruising through the internet and I came across a link for 20 books if you like Game of Thrones. This book was in that list and I am really glad I picked it up. I finished it in a day and a half and that says a lot for me, as I don't usually read that fast.
